Merit Media
"Combining Business With Pleasure"

Merit Media is about people; people who solve problems. People who work hard and play hard. Like you.
The business was started as a way for CEO Charlie Pecot to organize his busy life into specific areas of productivity and accomplishment. To him, the line seperating work and play was a grey one, not black. As an accomplished musician, he needed a base from which he could focus his efforts. And his "professional" life as an application developer needed a little spicing up. And so his two worlds collided to form Merit Media.
Justin Pecot is Charlie's younger brother. Yes, he's a certified genius. His area of specialty is the maximum accessibilty of visual stimuli. This includes the written word as well as spatial organization. He's a prize winning journalist and a brilliant publisher. He's also a pretty good songwriter/singer and "living room comic". To know him is to never have laughed so hard in your life.
Merit Media is into a lot of different things. As well as computer consulting the boys have weaved several personal projects into the Merit Media melange of activities, including...
  • Magic Lantern Records - MLR is the record company created by Charlie back in the 80's while a member of "The Thin Band", a post punk pop group. Since then Charlie has included his other musical projects, past and present: Arson, Leagues of Nations, Spunkard, Yucca Pie, Falik, and the brother's new musical project, Kosturr, another quirky take on what indie means to them.
  • Radiogogy.com - Internet radio has always held a fascination for Charlie. The radio promotion arm of MLR, Radiogogy.com brings to the web Charlie's love of music.
So, as you can see, there's a lot going on with these two guys. Contact them today to discover what Merit Media can do for you!
